Enjoy our farm grown loofah sponges with an additional layer of experience included!

These peel your own loofahs come ready to provide a sensory experience in addition to a greater appreciation for where your body care products originate. Dried and cut from the trellis vines where we grow them in our garden, we ship directly to you.

To release the sponge, break off the bottom blossom end part of the loofah and vigorously shake the seeds loose from the sponge. Then, lightly crush the skin around the entire sponge and peel away. The sponge is inside the casing and ready to use right away. Optionally, you can soak in soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and submerge in a 1:10 bleach ratio for 5-10 minutes to produce an evenly colored sponge.

Spinges can be cut into 3-4 smaller sponges. Average length is 16”-22” long. Sponges last 3-4 months before beginning to show signs of wear and breakdown. Compost when finished!
